Politeknik Pariwisata Makassar successfully held English Camp 2026 on October 16–17, 2026, involving 699 students from eight study programs. Carrying the theme “Let’s Sail the World” and the tagline “One Camp, Thousand Words, One Journey, Many Experiences,” the program aimed to enhance students’ English communication skills, confidence, creativity, and teamwork through engaging learning experiences beyond the classroom.
Supported by 23 external instructors from various universities and institutions, the two-day event featured interactive English learning, Food Presentation Videos, games, and English Camp Got Talent, where students showcased their talents through singing, storytelling, public speaking, and drama in English.
The opening ceremony was even more exciting with a spectacular fire dance performance by Student Affairs and D’Anjong Hotel, followed by a bonfire gathering that brought students together in a spirit of friendship and collaboration.
The event also welcomed Community Campervan Indonesia Chapter 27 South Celebes and Sulawesi Drone Community, adding to the spirit of collaboration and shared experiences throughout the camp.
On the second day, students participated in morning exercises and English Camp Outbound activities designed to strengthen communication, discipline, teamwork, and solidarity.
Through English Camp 2026, Politeknik Pariwisata Makassar hopes to inspire students to communicate confidently in English, embrace new experiences, and develop the skills needed to thrive in the dynamic and diverse tourism industry.
