Makassar Tourism Polytechnic Holds Socialisation on Anti-Corruption Awareness

Makassar, 3rd October 2025 - Makassar Tourism Polytechnic in collaboration with the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Tourism held an anti-corruption socialisation awareness event at Balairung I Wayan Bendhi on Friday (3/10). This activity aims to strengthen internal oversight, build a culture of integrity, and support the development of an Integrity Zone towards a Corruption-Free Zone (WBK) and a Clean and Serving Bureaucracy Zone (WBBM).
The event commenced with the reading and signing of an internal oversight charter by the Head of Department, Deputy Director, the Head of Internal Supervisory Unit (SPI), and the Head of Quality Assurance Unit (SPM) as a form of joint commitment to realising clean organisational governance.
In his speech, the Director of Makassar Tourism Polytechnic, Herry Rachmat Widjaja M.M.Par, CHE, emphasised the importance of optimal and efficient use of the budget. He reminded each unit to maintain accountability and transparency, while continuing to prepare supporting documents for the development of the Integrity Zone.
The socialisation material was delivered by Suharto from the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Tourism, who highlighted the results of the Integrity Assessment Survey (SPI) and corruption prevention strategies through reporting systems, gratification control, and conflict of interest handling. Meanwhile, Azmil Fiqri gave a presentation on Strengthening Anti-Corruption Supervision, including understanding regulations on corruption crimes, types of gratuities, and the whistleblowing system mechanism within the Ministry of Tourism.
As a follow-up, all participants took an anti-corruption comprehension test to measure their level of mastery of the material. Through this activity, Makassar Tourism Polytechnic hopes to foster a culture of clean, transparent, and accountable work, in line with its commitment to be corruption-free and provide excellent public service.
