Makassar Tourism Polytechnic Holds Blood Donation Drive to Celebrate Its 33rd Anniversary


Makassar, 6th September 2024 – Tourism Polytechnic held a blood donation drive to celebrate its 33rd anniversary. This social activity took place on Friday, 6th September 2024, on the 2nd floor of the Amanna Gappa Building, Makassar Tourism Polytechnic Campus, in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of South Sulawesi Province. The blood donation drive received an overwhelmingly positive response from the entire academic community, including lecturers, staff, students, and Dharma Wanita.
A total of 71 units of blood were successfully collected from donors. This activity is a form of Makassar Tourism Polytechnic concern for others and an effort to support the availability of blood in the PMI blood bank. In addition, this activity is also in line with the Healthy Living Community Movement (GERMAS) programme, which aims to improve the quality of life of the Indonesian people.
The Chair of the Anniversary Committee, Mr Nursalam, S.Sos., M.Pd., expressed his gratitude to all parties who supported the event. ‘We greatly appreciate the enthusiasm of all donors who participated in this event. Hopefully, the blood collected will be useful for those in need,’ he said.
